All persons and companies doing business, fulfilling contracts or performing services on Adak must obtain a city business license. This license is in addition to any other licenses required to legally operate within the State of Alaska or the City. The city cannot issue a business license without a State of Alaska business being current or if a corporate entity, must be in good standing with the State of Alaska. Information will be verified and incomplete applications will delay issuance of a business license.
If applicant or owner, including partial owners, are delinquent in municipal utilities or tax filings/payments the license application must be forwarded to the City Council for approval. Conditions on the license may be placed before final issuance, if approved.
